Leftovers VI and FAL Finish #1

Since today is National Quilting Day I thought I would celebrate my first finish for this years finish-a-long (see my first quarter FAL wish list here).  I actually finished all the free motion quilting in December but it took me a while to finally finish hand sewing on the binding.  I can’t believe that I have made 6 different quilts from leftover fabric from a quilt I made when I first started quilting.  Hopefully I’ve gotten a lot better at estimating fabric requirements since then.  I had a lot of fun with the free motion quilting on this one.

    Beautiful quilting job!

  2. Nifty! That quilting is terrific! I love the overall look.

  3. I really like the quilting you did on your quilt. Such a beautiful way to fill the space. Breaking it up into sections like that is so clever.

Great quilt – love the use of “leftovers” and the quilting just takes it over the top!!!

What an amazing quilt – I love how you went to town on the quilting! It really brings the whole thing to life, and it looks like you had a lot of fun with it. And your persistence with tackling the leftovers is… admirable or nuts?… not sure 🙂 I’ve been known to make it to 4 quilts, but after that I’m happy to pass on the leftovers.

  6. It’s amazing what one can do with a few scraps. Your quilting is wonderful.
