ALYoF April and FAL

With only hours to spare I just put the last hand stitches into my binding to officially finish my April goal and my first FAL for the 2nd quarter. Yippee!!!  It is a lap quilt that I made as a surprise for someone special.

  1. Such a lovely finish! I really like your colour combo and the quilting adds some pretty texture without being overpowering, Linda

Hello, chanced upon your blog following a link from Freshly Pieced, I believe. Love your quilt! Could you tell me what the pattern is? From the Moda Bake Shop perhaps, as you used pre-cuts? I tried looking for the name of the pattern in older posts but haven’t been lucky so far. Thanks. Beatrice (from France).

    • Hi Beatrice. I didn’t use a pattern. I just cut 3 inches off a layer cake, sewed the 7″ pieces together end to end, sewed the 3″ pieces together end to end and then sewed the long rows together with a piece of solid sashing in between each. Hopefully that makes sense.

  3. Congratulations on a beautiful finish!
