As Tango’s degenerative myelopathy progresses she is having a harder time trying to walk around. She is constantly getting her back legs crossed or having them slip out from underneath her. She can still bunny hop/run fairly well but changing direction and stopping are a real challenge. We ordered a wheelchair for her and we have started getting her comfortable with it. This is a video of her first time testing her new wheels.

Yay!!!! Keep up the good work Tango!
Aw you’ll get used to it! Looks like she just wants to use her back legs since she’s probably used to that.
I think it’s fantastic that people have made wheelchairs for dogs/cats. Companies are finally figuring out that our dog or cat is just not a pet–they are family!
We were so happy to discover that wheelchairs were an option. In fact it was through a post on blogpaws that we were able to find the company and order one.
That is SO cool!! 🙂 I will have to remember that if I need to find any specific dog items. Thanks! 🙂
This so heartwarming to see!! Found you through the WW Blog Hop!
What a great idea.
Tango keep up the good work! You’ll get the hang of it soon.
She’s amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kuddos to you!
Go Tango go! She’ll get the hang of it in a snap! Love this ❤
This reminds me of my shepherd and makes me wonder how different things would be like if she came down with a degenerative disease. Glad to see your pup is adjusting well and doesn’t let her new wheels stop her from having fun 🙂
Awww, so sweet! Not to bad of a test drive for your first run!
