Dawn’s Quilt

I am way behind in posting my quilt finishes.  I made this one for a friend. Just before Christmas, her son announced that he was moving to Australia and leaving before the end of the year.  Her home in Canmore is very lovely and full of Canadiana so that gave me the inspiration for this quilt.  My thought was that whenever she was sad and missing her son, I wanted her to wrap herself up in the quilt and think of her son hugging her.  I hope it helps.
