I’ve started cutting all the fat quarters for my Star Surround QAL. Lots of cutting left to do to make this week’s goal.
I managed to do quite a bit of work on my Leftovers I quilt this past week. I’ve got all the rows done…..now comes the task of joining together 56 rows that are only 1-3/8″ wide (7/8″ finished) with tons of seams to match up. Why do I create such time consuming patterns……maybe that is why I keep switching from one project to another???

I get myself into these massive time-consuming quilts, too! And wonder why, when I’m in the middle of it. In a “What was I thinking” kind of way. I love your blue and white quilt. Those long strips are quite striking together. It will be quite nice when it is finished.
Beautiful strips = beautiful and striking quilt. I love how modern looking it is. Did you design it?
Thanks for the lovely comments. I had tons of left over tiny rectangles from another quilt. I looked on Pinterest for some inspiration and then I designed this in EQ7. I hate to admit that there are still lots of rectangles left so I have to design a ‘Leftovers II’ quilt.
Beautiful! I love everything about this one – colours, design and of course that its scraps too. Very fresh and peaceful.
Stumbled over your blog today (from a Google search for orange quilts which turned up your orange and pink baby quilt) and I have spent the last half hour looking at your posts. I do love this idea of Leftovers… Would you be willing to post (or email me) more specific instructions for that quilt.
By the way, I’m a dog lover too. We have a pack of 10 at the moment. Not that we began with the intention of acquiring 10 dogs, but they each needed a home and the rest is history.
I am definitely subscribing to your blog to get updates. Love your quilts. Love your dogs.
